How We Work

We are hoping to make a tiny difference, but to do that we must be focused. We do not fund individuals, but only 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organizations. We are proud to work with many wonderful partner organizations to help unlock the potential of so many young people.

We can only fund a small number of ideas every year, and will only fund new ideas if they are especially compelling when compared to our mission. Decisions are made by our Board of Directors.


If you have some ideas that you believe are precisely in agreement with our mission, then please send them to us via email to ideas@bengierfoundation.org.

We are afraid that we cannot respond to all email, but will get back to you if your idea fits into the “small part of the beach” that we are working on. Best of luck to all of you beachcombers!
