Shocking Statistics |
The chart below was derived from a study that followed 12,000 eighth-graders from 1988 through 2000. It represents the Department of Education’s best available snapshot of what percentage of young people make it through college within 12 years of leaving the eighth grade. It is particularly concerning that the figures include not only 4-year degrees, but also associate degrees and trade school certificates.
